Calling All Shutterbugs!

While planting trees, repairing trails and enhancing native habitats on National Public Lands Day, don't forget to bring your cameras and take some great shots of your fellow volunteers.

Participate in our Tenth Annual "Volunteers in Action" Photo Contest. 

The "Volunteers in Action" contest gives NPLD volunteers the opportunity to showcase their talent with the backdrop of our country's public lands. In addition to great prizes from Acorn Naturalists and Patagonia, entrants may have their work featured on our website, in promotional materials for NPLD 2011 and more.

So get those photos out and get ready to take some great shots of volunteers at your National Public Lands Day event! 

Prizes

• 3 photographers  will receive an approximately $110 prize pack that may include products from:
  
  

Classification B (Girl Scout, Boy Scout and youth Photographers 17 years and under)

• 3  photographers in classification B (Girl Scout, Boy Scout and youth Photographers 17 years and under) will receive an approximately  prize package with products from:

Here's how to participate:

1.) Read the full guidelines and rules about the photo and video contests.

2.) Every submitted photo must be accompanied by a mandatory Media Release Form. Download the Media Release Form here and take it with you during National Public Lands Day. The form must include the names and signatures of all people whose faces are identifiable in the photo as well as the name and signature of the photographer.

3.) Take photos during a National Public Lands Day event.

4.) When you are ready to submit your photos, visit our photo submission page. On the submission pages, you can upload your photos. You will also be asked to submit your name and contact information and to upload your signed Media Release Forms.
