- Wildlife Forever State-Fish Art Project (pdf)-uses art as a springboard into the wonderful world of wetlands. Through a comprehensive lesson plan and a complete species identification guide, educators in grades four through 12 can teach children all about their state fish and its habitat requirements.

- NEW! Natural Inquirer -a middle school science education journal, created so that scientists can share their research with middle school students. Each article tells you about scientific research conducted by scientists in the USDA Forest Service.
- U.S. Geological Survey-information on the many aspects of water, pictures, data, maps, and an interactive center where you can give opinions and test your water knowledge!
- EPA Kids (K-5)-contains: curriculum, booklets, interactive games, activities, quizzes and in-depth information on estuaries, marine debris, non-point source pollution and wetlands.
- EPA Teaching Resources-topics include: acid rain, wetlands, beaches, the Clean Water Act and coral reefs. Each topic indicates the grade level it is geared towards.
- The Bridge-large growing collection of on-line marine education, sponsored by NOAA and SeaGrant. It includes resources on global, national, and regional marine science topics, and gives researchers a contact point for educational outreach. Lesson plans are broken down by grade level.
- EPA Adult Education- includes: handbooks, modules, training courses, materials for educators, and easy-to-read information about environmental issues.
- National NEMO (Nonpoint Education for Municipal Officials) Network-a confederation of 32 educational programs in 31 states dedicated to protecting natural resources through better land use and land use planning. Each program is adapted to reflect each individual state’s unique character, priorities, geography and issues.
- Answers -to water FAQ's. Topics include: water chemistry, water purification, water ecology, water and health, and water microbiology.
- Clean Water Challenge: Exploring Aquatic Ecosystems -from the Wyland Foundation. An environmental art and science classroom program for grades 5-8.
- NOAA -joined hundreds of organizations and agencies in a national, year-long celebration of science to make science more accessible, personally meaningful, and locally relevant. Resources include: lesson plans, informal activities, multimedia, and curriculum. A wide variety of topics are discussed such as the ocean, coasts, atmosphere, climate science, and aquatic life.
- Year of Science 2009 is a national, year-long celebration of science to engage the public in science and improve public understanding about how science works, why it matters and who scientists are. Each month has a different theme and the June focus is Oceans and Water. Sponsors include: the American Institute of Biological Sciences, the Geological Society of America, the National Science Teachers Association and the University of California Museum of Paleontology. NEEF is participating in Year of Science activities throughout the year.

- The Groundwater Foundation -covers groundwater basics and contains a kids/teacher resource section with educational activities and games.

- NOAA Office Of Marine Sanctuaries -curriculum, lesson plans and activities. All lesson plans are directly aligned with National Science Education Standards, National Geography Standards, the Ocean Literacy Essential Principles and Fundamental Concepts
- Marine Biological Laboratory’s Marine Resources Center -downloadable Ocean Animal Aquarium Teachers' Guide with lessons and activities to do with a classroom ocean animal aquarium, and ways to integrate the aquarium into daily classroom activities.
- Portal to Papahanaumokuakea - students from Duke University’s Nicholas School of the Environment examine the challenges associated with managing and conserving marine biodiversity, using aspects of the Papahanaumokuakea Marine National Monument in the Northwestern Hawaiian Islands. Also has daily blogs, videos, and visitors can comment on students' work being done at this remote marine wilderness.
- Clean Oceans -from the Wyland Foundation. A variety of K-12 supplemental activities focusing on healthy oceans.
- Secrets of the Sea -from the Wyland Foundation. Geared towards grades K-12 contains newspaper in education activities that focus on clean water issues. Also contains teachers guide.
- National Park Service - new feature showcasing the beauty and value of coral reefs in America's National Parks.
Bureau of Land Management -curriculum helps young people learn about riparian areas -- those "GREEN Zones" found along the edges of rivers, streams and lakes. There's a student guide with classroom and outdoor activities, and a leader guide for teachers. - Bobber the Water Safety Dog -interactive zone for young children with water safety cartoons, children's coloring printouts, and resources for teachers.
- The Recreational Boating & Fishing Foundation -educational resources and materials designed to promote boating, angling and aquatic stewardship.
- Grand Canyon Adventure: River at Risk -The Wyland Foundation created a teacher's guide for this IMAX film. The feature follows world-renowned river advocate Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. and author/anthropologist Wade Davis and their daughters on an exhilarating river-rafting trip through the Grand Canyon to tell an engaging story of how ordinary people can make a difference for our parched planet - one that is running out of clean, fresh water fast.
