Planting Native Species along the Glen Lake Trail
Meet at 10 am at the Glen Lake Trailhead. The project will last until early to mid afternoon. We will be planting native plants in burned area along the Glen Lake Trail in the Bitterroot National Forest. We will plant pearly everlasting, yarrow and a few different types of grasses. We will be hiking about 1/2 mile to the planting site. Bring water, a lunch, comfortable shoes and warm clothes. Work gloves and hard hats will be provided for you to use.
Directions to Glen Lake Trailhead: From Missoula, drive 30 miles south on Highway 93 to Bell Xing West on the right. The exit is located 5.6 miles south of the Stevensville turnoff. Turn right and proceed 0.5 miles to Meridian Road. Turn right and follow the hiking trail signs 2.8 miles to a road fork past the old mine pit. The left fork wends and curves an additional 7.6 miles to the trailhead parking pullouts on the right. From Hamilton, drive 13.5 miles north on Highway 93 to Bell Xing West on the left side of the road.

Greenough Park - Planting 600 native trees & shrubs along Rattlesnake Creek.
Riverfront Trail, Southside - installing a runners tread along the northside of trail. Running from Jacobs island to Orange st. overpass.
Riverfront Trail, southside - Installing 600 ft of eco-friendly permeable pavers. There is 600 ft. of the trail that was not asphalted to do a test section of eco-friendly pavers. MIST is heading up the project.
